Ages 3-5

Creative Dance

Children will be guided in a structured program fostering creativity, coordination, strength and spatial awareness. Nurturing a love for music and movement as well as building social skills and self-confidence are key elements of this class. It is their first introduction to dance and allows them to be independent in a fun and safe environment. Children must be potty trained.

Ages 5/6, K-1

Pre-Ballet Classes

This class will expand upon all the skills of the creative dance class syllabus while transitioning to basic ballet fundamentals as a ballet primer. They will learn positions of the feet and arms as well as exercises to encourage the coordination of the whole body. French vocabulary is learned and students are encouraged to experience the joy of movement and music without the pursuit of perfection, but instilling confidence.

Grades 1 - 4

Ballet 1 Classes

Children may attend his class without any prior dance training. Technique will be introduced in a safe, structured progression of learning as well as establishing proper class etiquette. Concepts of ballet fundamentals and body alignment are enforced in the presentation of learning correctly at a proper pace so that good habits are establish from the beginning. The ballet bar is introduced as well as learning a higher level of musicality and French vocabulary.

All Ages

Ballet 2 Classes

This class requires a placement assessment and focuses on more barre work. Combinations to strengthen legs, feet and ankles are given to prepare for center and across the floor combinations.

Ballet 3 Classes

This level expands to an hour and 15 minutes and is highly recommended to attend two times per week for optimal growth.

Ballet 4 Classes

This level is required to take two times per week and focuses on strength and endurance to prepare students for future pointe work. It emphasizes discipline and professionalism and is usually taken for at least two years.

Ballet 5 Classes

This level expands to an hour and a half technique class two times per week as well as an additional  30 minute pointe class.  Placement in this class requires instructors permission.

Adult

Beginning Ballet

In this intro to ballet, adults have the opportunity to explore the physical and mental benefits of taking a ballet class. Posture, balance and body alignment are the fundamentals. Exercises are aimed at conditioning the body for dance and will focus on core and leg strength, flexibility and coordination. Whether you are new to the art form or have had prior training this class is for you! You can pursue your interest in ballet regardless of age, body type, prior experience or ability level. It’s an investment in yourself and keeps you at your best! It’s never too late to start!

Adult

Intermediate Ballet

This adult class requires past training, current or from years ago. It can still be taken at your own pace. Each class is structured with barre and center work in a serious yet fun and supportive environment. It will help to improve your technique, strength, flexibility, focus, jumps, pirouettes and a whole lot more!

A $20 registration fee will be applied for each family per semester.
